Here’s the Gist: 

We areseeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the challenging roleofQuality Engineer. This rolewill befilledlocated onsite at ourWolfspeed manufacturingsite inMarcy, NY. This person willbe responsiblefor supporting all aspects of our quality management system including manufacturing qualityand supplier quality for theMohawk Valley Fab.To be successful in this role, the person will collaborate with internal teams within Quality and Operationsorganizations. 

The Day-to-Day: 

  • Interface withcustomersquality engineerson complaints and returns.Lead problem solvingwith cross functional teamstodetermine root cause and corrective actions.  

  • Supportthe Manufacturing Qualitybusiness processes for theIATF16949certifiedMarcysite including change management,non-conformance management,corrective actions,etc. 

  • Work withfab engineersto evaluate supplier PCNs and issue vendor corrective action SCARSsupporting theSupplier and IncomingQualitybusiness process.   

  • Develop andmaintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders includingthefactory and business unit leadership. 

 

 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications): 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related degree. 

  • Minimum3-5 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing 

  • Knowledge of quality systems, semiconductor materials, and semiconductor wafer fabrication. 

  • The ability tooperate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment and to execute at both a detailed level as well as a strategic level. 

  • Excellent communication and project management skills. 

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices. Experience with IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO9001 strongly preferred. 

  • Basic understanding of quality core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC)is a strong plus. 

  • Excellent communication and project management skills with a keen focus on attention to detail. 

  • Works independently, self-motivated, takes ownership and accountabilityfor process deadlines. 

  • Ability to work inlarge, complex, global environment, in a fast-paced environment, andremains flexible to support changing priorities. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experiencedesigningand/or executingincoming quality controlbusinessutilizingcamLine(SQM, SPACE,CDM)andSAPS4HANA (quality management &enterprise warehouse management) 

  • Experienceutilizing engineering databasesandSQLtodevelop anddeployPowerBI reportsfocused on supportingday-to-daybusiness operations as wellaskeyprocesseffectivenessindicator 

  • Working knowledge of the VDA 4992 barcode specification and/or experiencedeployingit in amanufacturingenvironment 

  • Experiencedeployingpythonand/orstreamlitreportingapplications This role may requireadditional duties and/or assignments asdesignated by management.

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$107,000.00 - $147,000.00
