About The Job:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 5 years of experience in manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of modern web and mobile applications.
- The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing test strategies, developing automation scripts, validating reusable UI component libraries, and collaborating closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- The candidate should possess hands-on experience with Playwright, Storybook-based UI testing, mobile automation, and modern JavaScript testing frameworks. Experience working on React-based applications and Design Systems will be an added advantage.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, create, review, and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts for web and mobile applications using Playwright.
- Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks and improve automation coverage.
- Validate reusable React UI components and Design System components using Storybook.
- Perform component-level testing for UI libraries to ensure consistency across applications.
- Refactor and optimize existing automation test suites for better maintainability, scalability, and execution performance.
- Validate security-related fixes, including third-party dependency and vulnerability remediation (e.g., BlackDuck findings).
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers during sprint planning, development, and release cycles.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Participate in requirement analysis, backlog grooming, and sprint planning activities.
- Execute cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device testing.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed test execution reports.
- Maintain automation repositories using Git and contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new QA tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve product quality.
- Ensure high-quality software releases by validating functionality, usability, performance, and reliability.
- Perform component testing for reusable UI components to verify functionality, states, interactions, responsiveness, accessibility, and visual consistency across web and mobile platforms.
- Validate and test reusable UI components using Storybook.
- Execute functional and regression testing for Storybook component stories.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for Storybook-based UI components.
- Verify component behavior across different states, variants, and screen sizes

- Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.

- Strong experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Experience in Web and Mobile Automation Testing.
- Experience testing React-based applications and reusable component libraries.
- Storybook component validation and UI testing.
- JavaScript and TypeScript for automation scripting.
- Experience with Jest and modern JavaScript testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of Git version control.
- Experience with JIRA for defect and sprint management.
- Understanding of REST API testing.
- Knowledge of Cross-browser and Responsive UI testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience testing Design Systems or shared UI libraries.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience with BrowserStack or LambdaTest for cross-device testing.
- Knowledge of Appium or Selenium is a plus.
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) testing.
- Basic knowledge of performance and security testing.
- Experience validating third-party dependency vulnerabilities and security fixes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent debugging and root cause analysis abilities.
- Attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within Agile teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and designers.
