QA Engineer

Summary:

Evolutyz is seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in Visakhapatnam. The role involves executing functional, regression, and release testing on a modern web application across various browsers and devices, maintaining manual test repositories, and writing automated tests under senior guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Execute functional, regression, and release testing on a modern web application across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari (desktop and mobile app).
• Maintain and improve manual test repository: keep cases current, identify automation candidates, and review AI-generated test cases for correctness before they enter the suite.
• Validate third-party data ingestions and batch jobs with guided SQL checks; prepare and manage synthetic test data.
• Write and maintain straightforward automated tests in Playwright under senior guidance.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years in software testing of web applications, with strong test design fundamentals and defect-report writing.
• Basic SQL; exposure to any automation framework or scripting language; Jira or similar.
• Attention to detail under release pressure, and willingness to learn AI-assisted workflows.

Required Skills:

• Strong test design fundamentals.
• Defect-report writing.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Exposure to any automation framework or scripting language.
• Experience with Jira or similar tools.

Preferred Skills:

• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Exposure to Playwright or Selenium.
• API testing basics (Postman).
• Experience testing data-heavy or integration-heavy systems.
