QA Engineer

Core Skills & Mindset

• 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.

• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.

• Ability to craft test cases from specifications, not just from UI behavior.

• Comfortable reasoning about:

  • Data flows

  • State transitions

  • Business rules

  • Failure modes

• Confidence in debugging and issue analysis, including reading logs, inspecting responses, and isolating root causes.

• Clear communicator who can explainwhy something fails, not justthat it fails.

Collaboration & Process

• Experience working inAgile/Scrum teams.

• Comfortable working closely with:

  • Developers

  • Product managers

  • SDETs

• Able to givestructured input to automation efforts without needing to write automation themselves.

• Values quality as ashared responsibility, not a final gate.

Tools & Technologies

• Test Management: TestRail

• Work Tracking: Azure Boards

• Testing Types: Functional, regression, exploratory, and integration testing

• Nice to Have:

  • API testing experience

  • Basic understanding of test automation concepts (Playwright, API automation, CI pipelines)

  • Experience with SaaS platforms, security products, or complex configuration-driven systems
