Python / SQL Developer with DevOps Experience

About The Job:

• We are looking for 2 skilled Software Engineers/Developers with strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL, along with practical exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• The ideal candidate should have experience developing backend/data-driven applications, working with databases, containerizing applications, and supporting automated CI/CD processes.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and automation solutions usingPython.
• Write and optimize complexSQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations.
• Work with relational databases and troubleshoot application/database performance issues.
• Build, package, and deploy applications usingcontainerization technologies such as Docker.
• Work withCI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to streamline deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot application and deployment issues across development and production environments.
• Follow coding standards, version-control practices, and software development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Create and maintain relevant technical documentation.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills

• 3–5 years of relevant software development/engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on programming experience inPython.
• Strong proficiency inSQL, including query writing, joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
• Working knowledge ofLinux/Unix environments and shell commands.
• Hands-on experience or good practical knowledge ofDocker/containerization.
• Experience working withCI/CD concepts and pipelines.
• Good understanding ofGit/version control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience withJenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Exposure toKubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms such asAzure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend application development.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such asTerraform or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile development environment.
• Candidates who can demonstratehands-on implementation experience, rather than only theoretical knowledge of DevOps.
