Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedPython Developer to join our team supportingState Street throughInfosys. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, API integration, cloud technologies, and database management. The candidate should be capable of developing scalable applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather and implement requirements.
• Develop reusable, efficient, and secure code following industry best practices.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design and optimize data models.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in DevOps practices.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in object-oriented design.
• Experience developing REST APIs using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL).
• Experience with Git and version control best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
• Exposure to data processing frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark.
• Understanding of security best practices and secure coding standards.
