- Python:Strong programming skills with Object-Oriented concepts, clean code principles, and hands-on use of pandas. Experience writing scripts that run unattended, with proper error handling and logging.
- SQL:Advanced proficiency, including multi-table joins with a clear understanding of data grain, window functions, CTEs, NULL handling, and data types. Comfortable working with large datasets and reading query performance.
- Data analytics:Hands-on experience in data analysis and automation. Profiles data before drawing conclusions, breaks down anomalies to find where numbers diverge, and spots patterns in messy data.
- Analytical and verification mindset:Habitually asks what could make a result wrong, reconciles outputs, and is honest about uncertainty. Prefers explainable, deterministic logic where results must be defensible.
- Effective use of AI tools:Defines the problem and constraints before prompting, agrees on approach before generating code, reviews and tests all AI output, and can explain every line they deliver. Understands when AI should not be used and never shares confidential data with external tools.
- Communication:Good communication skills and ability to work in Agile teams, including with non-technical stakeholders.
