## About the roleAs a Python Automation Test Engineer at Cognizant, you'll be responsible for conducting automation testing using Python to ensure the highest software quality. You'll work with a high-performing team and solve complex problems with your strong command of Unix and SQL. Your role involves designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.## What you'll do* Design and implement efficient and reliable Python scripts for automation testing* Identify process bottlenecks and suggest automation opportunities* Uncover and report software defects through automated testing mechanisms* Leverage your Unix skills to effectively navigate through the operating system* Use SQL to understand databases and extract, insert, or update data as needed* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of testing processes* Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies in automation testing## What we're seeking* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field* 6-14 years of professional experience as a Automation Test Engineer.
