Position: PVKids Experience Coordinator Reports to:Children’s Ministry Director
Status:Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Classification:Exempt  Description Summary 
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church is seeking a creative producer who can architect a high-energy "WOW" experience that is so contagious, kids want to bring their friends—and so scripturally grounded, they leave knowing Jesus for Sunday and midweek programming. This role requires a unique blend of high-octane energy, sophisticated emotional intelligence (EQ), and a deep commitment to biblical integrity. You are the "Chief Fun Officer" who understands that the more engaging the atmosphere, the more effectively we can plant the seeds of the Gospel.  *Note: This position requires PV membership. 
Core Production & Engagement Responsibilities 

Gospel-Centered Atmosphere Design (The "WOW" Experience) 
  1. The Magnetic Ministry: Design and execute immersive environments that scream "this is the place to be." You create the viral moments that make kids want to recruit their friends, ensuring the environment is a worthy stage for the greatest story ever told. 
  2. Sensory & Energy Engineering: Use your EQ to calibrate the room. You know how to ramp up a crowd for a celebration and pivot to a sacred, focused moment of teaching without losing the room’s attention. 
  3. High-Octane Programming with Biblical Depth 
  4. Truth-Driven Attractional Teaching: Collaborate and execute curriculum that is fun first and Bible always. You ensure that stage scripts, games, and videos are fast-paced and funny, but never at the expense of sound doctrine or scriptural accuracy. 
  5. The Innovation Engine: Constantly refresh and enhance ministry spaces. You are always thinking of new ways to increase kid-level engagement, using creative hooks to make deep biblical truths stick for a lifetime. 
  6. Technical Excellence: Direct the stage and tech cues (ProPresenter, lights, sound) to ensure a seamless production. You manage the show so that the message of Christ remains the central, undistracted focus. 
Gospel-Centered Curriculum Architecture 
  1.  Truth That Sticks:Select, evaluate, and develop curriculum for Sunday mornings, midweek programming, special events, and ministry initiatives. You ensure every lesson is biblically accurate, age-appropriate, and designed to help children understand and apply God's Word. 
  2. The Discipleship Blueprint:Create a ministry strategy that moves beyond content delivery and toward transformational discipleship. You help build learning experiences that connect biblical truth to everyday life and encourage spiritual growth at every stage of childhood development. 
  3. Engagement With Purpose:Partner with the PVKids Operations Coordinator to ensure curriculum and experiences work together seamlessly. Every game, activity, object lesson, and teaching moment serves a clear biblical purpose while keeping kids highly engaged. 
Volunteer Development & Team Leadership 
  1. Cultivating Kingdom Builders:Attract, develop, and retain exceptional volunteer teams who understand that every interaction with a child is a ministry opportunity. You actively recruit and disciple ministry partners while helping them discover and maximize their gifts. 
  2. Leadership Through Empowerment:Create systems for training, communication, and ongoing development that equip volunteers to confidently serve in their roles. You celebrate wins, provide coaching, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence. 
  3. Building Healthy Ministry Teams:Use your relational leadership skills to build community among volunteers, creating teams that are engaged, encouraged, and aligned around the mission of leading kids to Jesus.  
Strategic Growth & Biblical Stewardship 
  1. "Front Door" Special Events: Assist with and help execute invite-style events and summer experiences that are high-production, high-fun, and unapologetically Gospel-centered. 
  2. Environment Staging: Maintain Ready for Company standards—understanding that excellence in our physical space reflects our value for the families we serve and the God we worship. 
Qualifications / Technical Skills 
  • Theological Alignment: A member of PV in good standing, affirming the statement of faith with a passion for teaching the whole counsel of God to the next generation. 
  • High EQ & Social Intuition: A proven ability to read a room and adjust energy levels accordingly. You know how to connect with the heart while leading the crowd. 
  • Organic Growth Mindset: A passion for creating invite-worthy experiences and a track record of building programs that kids love to share. 
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to operate or quickly master Planning Center Online, Adobe, ProPresenter, etc. 
Education / Experience 
  •  High school graduate or equivalent. College degree related to children or ministry preferred 
  • Experience working with children of various ages including those with behavioral issues and special needs 
  • Minimum of two years in a multi-staff environment with a focus on high-capacity children's programming, production, and discipleship. 
  • Experience leading volunteers and teams
