Housekeeper - Bayview Hospital

Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and hygiene across all hospital areas while supporting non-clinical ward operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, surgical areas, offices, and public restrooms
• Change linens, make beds, and restock supplies (toiletries, linens, cleaning products)
• Collect and distribute laundry, ensuring proper handling of soiled and clean linens
• Maintain floors, furniture, and fixtures through dusting, polishing, and disinfecting
• Monitor and report maintenance or equipment issues
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures
• Participate in in-service training and collaborate with ward supervisors
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with patients and visitors

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) CXC passes 
• Certificate in Housekeeping an asset
• Basic computer skills an asset
