Purchasing Supervisor (Fixed-Term)

We are looking for aLocal Purchasing Lead to manage all local purchasing activities related to direct production materials at ourConnection Systems plant in Torino.

This role is part of theEMEA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Operations Team and serves as a key interface to theSCM Category Team, Supplier Quality, and other purchasing-related functions.

The position reports directly to theSCM Operations Manager CS EMEA.

The successful candidate will ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing operations while supporting plant performance and regional procurement strategy.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as theAPTIV purchasing representative for direct material topics toward internal stakeholders (local and EMEA) and external suppliers
• Represent purchasing inlocal project teams, ensuring early involvement in:
  • New product launches
  • Business transfers
  • Engineering changes
• Drivecost reduction initiatives andprocess improvements aligned with local and EMEA purchasing objectives
• Monitor and reportmaterial performance KPIs and prepare management reports
• Lead theannual material budgeting process
• Represent purchasing duringinternal and external audits
• Maintain and ensure accuracy ofERP purchasing data
• Support plant operations in resolvingsupplier delivery issues
• Manage and follow up onblocked invoices in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Support and coordinateindirect purchasing activities in cooperation with the regional indirect team when required
• Ensure full compliance withAPTIV policies, procedures, and legal requirements

Your Profile

• Master’s degree inEconomics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, ideally within theautomotive industry
• Fluent inEnglish (written and spoken)
• Strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellentanalytical and negotiation abilities
• Provenproject management skills; engineering background is a plus
• Proficiency inQAD / MFGPro, SAP, and Microsoft Office
• Structured, proactive, and independent working style
• High level ofcommitment and assertiveness
• Open-minded, hands-on, and eager to learn

Compensation
The starting annual base salary for this position is41,600 EUR gross, with the opportunity for further growth based on your experience, skills, and overall qualifications.
