PTC - Business Analyst

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support technology initiatives through business process analysis, requirements gathering, IT demand management, and project planning. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and align proposed initiatives with organizational priorities.

Job Duties

• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to document current-state process flows and gather requirements for business process reengineering.

• Analyze existing business processes against industry best practices to identify opportunities for process improvements and system changes.

• Recommend future-state processes and improvement opportunities to business process owners and subject matter experts.

• Collaborate with business owners and other analysts to define and refine project scope, schedules, and budgets.

• Perform project management activities related to project planning and requirements gathering.

• Build and maintain productive working relationships with technology teams, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key stakeholders.

• Coordinate the intake, review, and evaluation of IT demands in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT teams.

• Define business needs, project scope, expected benefits, and preliminary cost estimates for proposed initiatives.

• Support IT demand prioritization, annual planning, and portfolio management activities.

• Evaluate proposed initiatives against organizational priorities and prepare demands for funding consideration and project initiation.

• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze business needs and develop effective solutions.

• Ensure project activities align with established project management and PMO guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst environment across projects of varying sizes and subject matter.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business process analysis.

• Experience with ServiceNow Idea, Project, and Demand modules.

• Experience in demand management.

• Experience with project schedule development and budget estimation.
