Our growing client is seeking a highly organizedProject Support Specialist to support work control, scheduling, project documentation, and field operations. This position serves as a key point of communication between the customer, field teams, and internal departments, helping ensure work orders are properly scheduled, documented, completed, and closed out.
Responsibilities of theProject Support Specialist will include:
- Supportwork control processes and development of work packages
- Establish office functions that support successfulfield operations
- Serve as the primary customer contact forwork order scheduling, status updates, changes, and closeout
- Provide field support forwork package revisions, field changes, and work order interpretation
- Assist withproblem resolution related to work packages and work orders
- Coordinate with customers regarding the ordering and delivery ofmajor materials
- Track work order status and ensure completed work is properly captured and reported
- Coordinate with Billing to facilitatetimely and accurate invoicing
- Ensure required project documentation is collected and organized forproject closeout
- Coordinate activities of other office personnel as needed
- Support planning and scheduling functions across assigned work
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications for the role ofProject Support Specialist:
Required:
- 3β5 years of experience in theconstruction industry
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintainingproject plans and schedules
- Experience performing, monitoring, and reviewingplanning and scheduling functions
- Proficiency withPC operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strongoral and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of work scheduling fundamentals
- Excellenttime management, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in thepower utility industry
- Experience reading, evaluating, interpreting, and communicatingcontract provisions
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain required company and client training and qualifications
- Willingness to workovertime, weekends, holidays, and shift work as needed
- Ability to support emergent work requirements when called upon
- Must pass requiredbackground, screening, and drug/alcohol screening requirements
