Summary:
- 5+ years of experience working with physical security design and/or implementation of electronic security systems such asAccess Control System, Intrusion Detection System, and CCTV Surveillance systems. Familiarity with security in depth strategies.
- 2+ years of experience inprogram or project management, leading both technical and non-technical teams focusing on physical security standards and designs.
- Familiar project management and design and construction software.
- Proficient understanding of construction plans, elevations, and other design and construction artifacts for architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and telecommunications plans.
- Position requires occasional travel to facilities within a 50-mile radius of the city where the position is assigned.
Project Management
The Security Project Manager will be required to perform the following tasks as part of overall project management on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead physical security design and system installation for new data centers, data center expansions and special projects.
- Provide physical security project lifecycle management including specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out documentation.
- Manage security design build activities, QA/QC, and support processes.
- Attend and represent physical security project elements in construction planning meetings.
- Representative for physical security team acceptance, sign-off, and operational readiness validation for high security facilities in conjunction with other AWS teams.
- Reporting performance metrics such as physical security system installation vendor service delivery performance, post installation defect rates, physical security program analysis, etc.
- Collaborate across teams to drive security projects.
- Provide weekly project updates to the AWS Senior Security Program Manager.
Invoice Management
- The SPM will be required to make invoice approval recommendations to an AWS Senior Security Program Manager to allow AWS to approve vendor invoices. The contracted SPM will not be required to approve invoices but may be involved in Purchase Order and financial management.
- To evaluate an invoice to make a recommendation to an AWS Security Program Manager, the contracted SPM will validate the percentage of project completion, validate equipment ordering levels, and collaborate with the security integrator vendor for any proof required to validate invoiced labor amounts. Once the contracted SPM have evaluated project progress, the contracted SPM will notify the AWS Senior Security Program Manager of their recommendation on the accuracy of the submitted
Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills:
- Construction project management experience
- Electronic/physical security systems experience, including Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and CCTV surveillance
- Construction design and documentation knowledge, including construction plans, elevations, specifications, and QA/QC
Nice-to-Haves:
- Data center experience
- Experience with high-security facilities and security system commissioning
- Experience with vendor management, purchase orders, budget tracking, and invoice validation.
