
Project Officer - RAP (1 Position)
Job Roles & Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery (30%)
Lead planning, implementation, and overall delivery of RAP projects.
Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans and implementation schedules.
Prepare project budget
Monitor progress against project objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Ensure value for money and efficient use of project resources.
Monitor project expenditures, identify budget variances, and recommend adjustments.
Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
Ensure project assets are properly managed and used appropriately.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building (20%)
Coordinate cross-department implementation with Finance, Development, VTI, and other teams.
Supervise Field Facilitator, volunteers, and other assigned staff.
Research and apply for volunteer opportunities
Recruit, orient, assign, supervise, and evaluate volunteers supporting RAP activities.
Conduct regular supervision meetings and performance reviews.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Review reports, activity plans, and training materials.
Coordinate regular planning, review, and learning meetings.
Program Quality, Learning & Compliance (15%)
Ensure high-quality implementation of the RAP model.
Support the Development Officer in developing, testing, and revising project tools, monitoring systems, and training materials based on field experience.
Review data for accuracy and completeness
Use monitoring data and field learning to improve project implementation.
Promote continuous improvement and innovation in programme delivery.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, safeguarding standards, and organizational policies.
Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, reported, and managed appropriately.
Partnerships & Program Growth (35%)
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, churches, government, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
Represent Ignite Change in meetings, forums, and partnership activities.
Prepare monthly briefs, quarterly and annual reports for sharing with donors and stakeholders
Lead RAP Scaling activities, including partner identification, assessment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
Conduct grant research and identify appropriate opportunities
Contribute technical input to grant proposals, donor reports, and organizational planning.
General Responsibilities
Carry out other duties assigned
Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, professional development, and organizational learning activities.
Prepare weekly reports and work plans the Friday before each work week

Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration or Development Studies/ Community Psychology or a degree in a related field
At least 3 years’ relevant experience in project/ programme implementation, preferably in an NGO or community development.
Agree with Christian mission, values, and objectives of Ignite Change
Knowledge of project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and budgeting.
Strong community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills.
Knowledge of community development, social work principles, and approaches for supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.
Passionate about helping vulnerable groups of people
Exhibit the highest level of integrity
Be responsive and flexible
Fluent in Luo
Must be effective in written and verbal communication in English
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, with minimal or no prompting
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays
Self-motivated and innovative
Prefered
A valid riding permit
Experience working cross-culturally
