Position Summary:
Title: Project Manager Premium III
Duration: 6 Months - Long term extensions
Location:Washington, DC 20433

Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon.

Essential Project Manager Job Functions:
 Perform Project Management functions within WBG ITS and related non-ITS departments, following PMBOK principles
 Gather project scope and requirements
Understand business technologies and be effective in coordinating with WBG teams, vendors, clients across multiple units. Business technologies components include but not limited to IT Security, IP Networks, VOIP telecommunications, audio/video technology, data/voice, mobile applications, cloud applications, SaaS, PaaS, etc.
 Develop detailed project plans and schedules for each assigned project (typical project activities may include requirement gathering, design and specifications, budgeting, procurement, delivery, staging,
shipping, deploying and testing of various technologies and related equipment).
 Work closely with local teams and other collaborating IT teams or other contractors and consultants to monitor project milestones and critical paths to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Identify
ways to resolve schedule issues
 Produce project status reports for colleagues and clients
Design, monitor, operate, and maintain optimal functioning processes and procedures of project facilities, and other related IT infrastructure/facilities
 Create or assess Project implementation plans, monitor and control change request process
 Create project documentation, guide team(s) in writing and documenting technical information/specifications on project or services.
 Follow-up on pending operational issues: review open trouble tickets, project implementation in coordination with institutional teams and coordinate any field activities
 Record/update all activities using the official project management tools, incident (trouble-ticket) management system, inventory management systems, etc.
 Coordinate tests as needed, lead the execution of existing procedures, flag any areas of improvement
 Support tasks for audit compliance
Coordinate installation/deployment and testing activities with HQ and offshore staff, vendors, and other WBG ITS teams.
 Facilitate with internal teams and service providers to escalate or troubleshoot issues when necessary.
 Conduct research and benchmarking in preparation for negotiations of significant impact and involving multiple parties
 Identify potential risks and develops preventive plans for procedural activities.
Coordinate required tasks for one or more phases of the SDLC.
 Involve the key players in identifying operating needs, issues, and solutions
 Review customer business requirements and determine where support is needed relative to existing technical systems design.
 Coordinate effective workflows and processes with one or more vendor and/or alliance partners.
 Take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success.
 Take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results, and demonstrate personal drive to do so
 Collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to the team's work and output, demonstrating respect for different points of view
 Actively seek knowledge needed to complete assignments and share knowledge with others
 Analyzes facts and data to support sound, logical decisions regarding own and others' work
 Capture detailed progression of each Project, in all phases, identify critical paths
 Define and provide a portfolio view of all projects with a high-level status indicator (On Target, At Risk, Delay), identify dependencies between projects
 Define and provide project reports and task lists, highlight, and take action to address issues
 Define and document workflows, project tracking and reporting
 Customize various levels of management and status tracking reports, dashboards with drill down ability
Lead project management of multiple simultaneous projects, develop and maintain schedules, provide organizational leadership to development teams, and serve as the primary project management resource.
Participate in translating high level business requirements into scope, resource plans and schedules, requiring a keen interest in understanding the business drivers, goals, constraints, and pain points in order to successfully drive the project to conclusion.
 Communicate critical risks and issues, project schedules for implementation, and develop the level effort for development projects from stakeholder inputs.
 Analyze project dependencies and develop adequate resolution plans to mitigate and mange dependencies.
 Provide a long-term vision for the program under management, taking into account application adjacencies and overall program roadmap.
 Develop resource plans and advise application leadership on resource contention and possible plans to mitigate the contention.
 Conduct weekly status meeting, develop weekly and monthly status reports for portfolio management and application leadership.
 Monitor project progress and collect schedule updates from various stakeholder.
 Interface with Portfolio Management and Project Governance for project updates at various phases of the project lifecycle.
Liaise with IT community to facilitate projects, engagements, reporting, align project with program objectives
 Review exercise outcomes with the technical teams to identify dependencies, points of failure, and other risks to WBG ITDR position and ensure reporting and ongoing tracking
 Review the testing plans and risks identified with the technical teams for technical and process capability optimization
Ensure compliance with IT Resiliency Standards; ensure that project infrastructure meets IT resiliency requirements to support business recovery time objectives
 Support deployment and management of process(es) for identifying mission criticality of newly proposed business applications
Map critical IT infrastructure for our clients, identifying points of failure and potential business disruption. Identify and document gaps and risks in ITS systems compliance with architectural standards
Liaise with ITS Risk Program to ensure continued tracking and reporting on risks and gaps and their resolution
 Benchmark ITS/WBG capabilities against external best practices and standards to keep target capabilities
current
 Participate in audit and compliance processes

Educational Qualifications and Experience:
 Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree, as specified in the Job Posting.

Experience executing global IT Infrastructure and facility projects utilizing multiple technologies and frameworks
 Project management experience in planning, executing, and monitoring in a multi-cultural environment
 Experience researching, investigating, evaluating, and qualifying new vendor solutions
 Working experience with staff and contractors in a global setting
 Familiarity with satellite communications systems, MPLS links, VPN’s and ISP provided links, and leased line circuits, experience with campus and data center networking
Experience with data communications link testing tools and techniques
 Experience with prioritizing conflicting demands in high-pressure and time-critical situations
Experience in IT Architecture, Infrastructure Operations or Data Center or Computing
Experience coordinating IT Disaster Recovery planning and testing related to IT systems infrastructure and business applications
 Experience working in a large, complex global organization in an IT related field
Role Specific Experience in IT project management planning, executing, and monitoring complex projects in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment
 Extensive experience with unified communications, VOIP, and video infrastructure projects utilizing multiple technologies and frameworks in a Global setting
 Experience with creating and following a work plan to develop and implement a Project Management tool solution
 Experience with technical reporting and management tools, such as Jira
Experience in creating reports and communication for Senior Management audience
Role Specific Experience in managing large IT projects, IT Governance, Data Warehouse projects, Financial Services domains, Portfolio Performance Management (PPM) systems, Clarity.

Certification Requirements:
 Certification in IT related business process and compliance standards and frameworks that include IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity as key components (CFCP or CBCP, CBRITP, ISO23200, BS25999, ISO27001, etc.)
 ISO20000 Standard Certification (preferred)
PMP certification is required.
