Project Manager – Engineering & IT
Remote contract

Role Summary
The Project Manager will support the Engineering and Information Technology (E&IT) delivery for the New gTLD Program: 2026 Round technology portfolio. The role is responsible for managing integrated E&IT schedules, resource and capacity plans, budgets, dependencies, risks, reporting, and delivery coordination across multiple technology teams and workstreams.
The Project Manager will work closely with E&IT leaders, Product Managers, program stakeholders, Finance, and vendors to support successful delivery, with material changes and decisions impacting E&IT resources, schedule, or budget escalated through established program governance mechanisms.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage integrated E&IT project plans, timelines, resources, budgets, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and performance across the 2026 Round technology portfolio, coordinating with project and project managers responsible for the broader Round.
  • Implement and improve a consistent E&IT project delivery approach that aligns with broader program-level governance and drives efficiency, quality, and accountability across project teams.
  • Facilitate development and alignment of project scope by business, product and software engineering resources; maintain the approved scope baseline and manage scope changes, impacts, dependencies and decisions throughout delivery, with material changes and decisions escalated and governed through established program governance mechanisms.
  • Develop and manage an integrated E&IT delivery schedule, with input from the various project managers who manage components of the project, consolidating milestones and plans across projects and workstreams. Identify and actively manage critical-path dependencies, sequencing constraints, and cross-organizational dependencies.
  • Collaborate with business and E&IT leaders and team members to build and manage a comprehensive E&IT resource and capacity plan, capturing skills gaps, resource constraints, and staffing needs required to deliver the planned technology scope of work.
  • Develop and manage the project budget, forecast, and actuals reporting with support from Finance, ensuring that the budget represents the resources and other inputs needed to deliver the project scope.
  • Proactively identify and document project issues, risks and decisions and provide E&IT input into the overall New gTLD Program risk management process.
  • Drive achievement of project objectives through assessment project performance using project metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting. Provide consistent, detailed, and accurate performance reporting to key stakeholders to drive awareness and support for project needs.
  • Create and manage communication channels to ensure key stakeholders are informed about project status, issues, risks and decisions.
  • Manage program vendors and contractors, alongside the E&IT leads and the Vendor Management function, to ensure delivery of scope of work, integration of vendor resources into the project team, and oversight of performance.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure delivery of technical aspects of the project. Drive collaboration between technical and business resources to ensure alignment and successful teamwork.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of technical project management experience.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology and business transformation projects with budgets exceeding $5M-$10M+.
  • Experience in managing IT projects which utilize Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Experience managing project finances including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking.
  • Experience providing oversight to project managers as part of a large project or program, providing coaching, oversight, and performance management.
  • Experience working in global companies across multiple countries, cultures and time zones is preferred.
