Project Manager – Civil

Job Summary:

The Project Manager – Civil is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering civil construction projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The role involves overseeing site operations, managing project teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving overall project performance. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and proven experience managing large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.

Job Description:

• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of civil construction projects.

• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.

• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and cost controls.

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

• Oversee site operations, ensuring work is executed as per design, specifications, and safety standards.

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Review technical drawings, BOQs, contracts, and specifications.

• Manage procurement processes and vendor/contractor performance.

• Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.

• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

• Handle client communications and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

• Resolve on-site technical issues and disputes effectively.

• Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures are implemented.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Master’s degree in Construction Management or Project Management (preferred).

• PMP(Project Management Professional) certification (preferred).

• Minimum10 years of experience in civil construction/project management.

• Experience in handling large-scale infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials.

• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6).

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering software.

• Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and contract management.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
