Job Summary:
LRE is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager will beLeeward’s lead during thelate-stage development (post financialinvestment decision),construction, and commissioning of Leeward Energyrenewableenergy projects, which may include solar, solar/BESS, stand-alone BESS, and wind energy projects. The Project Manager will lead a team of internal stakeholders, site-basedconstruction management professionals,safety officer(s),and inspectorswhile ensuringsafety, quality, contract, and financial milestones are achieved. This role will beremote based with monthlytravelrequired (min. 25% travel).
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership in project risk assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide leadership in stakeholder engagement and reporting to ensure that project stakeholders are properly informed and accountable for workstreams and work products.
Promote and ensure compliance with LRE safety standards andpromote LRE safety culture at all times, specifically ensuring that allBESS/Module/Turbine Suppliers (orother owner supplied equipment providers), BOP Contractor(s) andtheirsubcontractors, andother contractors accessing a project siteare adhering to project site safety plan.
Must have a strong understanding ofproject budgets & schedules and be able toprovideproactive oversight of project budgets, cashflow needs, andother financial related workstreams.
Lead and manageContractors and Suppliers contractual obligations including oversight and mitigation ofchange orders and otherfinancial risks on a project.
Lead across-functionalteamafter hand-off from Development to ensure oversight and close-out of action items occurduring the RFP, Contracting, Construction, andCommercial Operations phases of a project.Cross-functional teams are likely to include (at a minimum) Regulatory, Development, Safety, Environmental,Finance, Accounting,Engineering, Utility/Transmission, Originations, SeniorLeadership,and Legal. A candidate must be capable of leading such a complex teamto ensureaproject is builtin accordance withregulatory andenvironmental compliance,contract, plans and specifications,financial,andsafety requirements.
Interface with all project team members, tracking issues andfacilitating and expediting solutions.
Responsible formaintaining clear and concise communications, keepingaccurate records and thorough documentation throughout all phases of the project such that all stakeholders are informed and knowledgeable of key decisions pointsduring the course of a project.
Identify, deploy, and manage a high-performing team needed tomonitor onsite construction and commissioning work for owner renewable energy projects.
As challenges or change conditions present themselves, acandidate must be able to actively weighthevarious stakeholderviewpointsand ensuretimely and informed resolution is achieved.
Track, manage, update, andsubmit internal weekly and monthlyproject reports
Interface with development team members on projects in late-stage development to ensure that project execution support isprovidedsuch that a project can move into the RFP/Contracting phases(e.g. constructability analysis, EPC estimates/ROMs, financial,permitting support, otheritems, etc.).
Support PPA and LGIAnegotiations and execution as requested
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of construction safety requirements. OSHA 30-Hour qualification preferred.
Experiencemanaging construction QA/QC programs on renewable energy projects.
A minimum of 6years ofrenewable energyexperience, or have completed not less than 3wind, BESS, and/orsolarfarmconstruction projects as a project manager from EPC Contracting through Commercial Operation. Desired experience to includein-depthknowledgeof at least three of the following: civil construction,structural/foundation construction,electrical construction, turbine erection/solar moduleassembly, testing & commissioning, preparing for and supporting various project financial/tax equitycloses, and achieving utility commercial operation designations.
Understanding of and experience managing renewable energy project contracts including EPC/BOP,testing & commissioning,turbine, module, and/or battery supplier agreements.
Extensive project management skills witha track record of achieving success oncomplex projects.
Strong communication, interpersonal andnegotiations skills.
Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications,generalsoftwareproficiency, and a sound understanding of project scheduling including critical path analysis, successor/predecessoranalysis, change analysis, etc.
Strong managerial/leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in: Construction Management,Engineering,Finance/Accounting,or Business Management.Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu ofadegree.
Must have the ability to manage teamseffectively in high stress situations while obtaining consensus and repeatedlyovercoming challenges.
Flexibility to work at locations across North America for up to ~25% of year

Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a computer
Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight
Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions
Position will require sitting forlong periods of time
