Job Title: Project Manager – Oracle to Snowflake Data Migration
Compensation: Up to $72/hr, commensurate with experience
Location: Remote
Length of Contract: 6 Months+

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple data migration projects involving the migration of data from Oracle to Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex data migration initiatives, coordinating technical teams, and delivering projects within established timelines and quality standards.
This individual must possess outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, developers, business stakeholders, and senior management. The Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects, maintain detailed project documentation, proactively manage risks and issues, and ensure consistent communication regarding project status, milestones, and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 6–7 concurrent data migration projects, including large-scale initiatives involving Oracle-to-Snowflake migration.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project teams of up to 10 members, including developers, technical resources, business stakeholders, and other project contributors.
  • Oversee project execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring timelines, priorities, and deliverables remain aligned.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, project meetings, and stakeholder discussions to track progress, address blockers, and maintain accountability.
  • Prepare and distribute daily status updates, project status reports, meeting minutes, and executive-level communications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including action item logs, issue logs, risk registers, dependency trackers, and software quality defect/bug logs.
  • Track software defects, testing issues, and data migration discrepancies through resolution, ensuring appropriate ownership and follow-up.
  • Identify project risks, manage escalations, resolve issues, and navigate complex workflows and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, resource needs, and potential impacts to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ensure meeting outcomes are documented clearly, with defined action items, owners, due dates, and follow-up requirements.
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying schedule slippage and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Utilize project management tools to maintain project schedules, track deliverables, monitor issues, and provide visibility into project performance.
  • Work closely with technical teams to understand data migration requirements, dependencies, testing activities, and implementation timelines.
  • Ensure project documentation, reporting, and communication are accurate, timely, and consistently maintained across all projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing data migration projects, preferably involving Oracle-to-Snowflake migrations or similar enterprise data platform migrations.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale technical projects concurrently, ideally 4–5 or more major projects, with the ability to oversee approximately 6–7 active projects.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams of up to 10 team members.
  • Strong understanding of data migration project lifecycles, including planning, execution, testing, defect resolution, and implementation.
  • Some SQL knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with developers and technical resources regarding data-related activities.
  • Experience using project management tools to maintain project plans, schedules, issue trackers, action logs, and project documentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear project status reports and executive-level updates.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complex project dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, track, escalate, and resolve issues while maintaining accountability across project teams.
  • Experience facilitating daily stand-ups, project meetings, and stakeholder discussions, including documenting meeting minutes and tracking action items to completion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehousing and Oracle database environments.
  • Familiarity with data quality, data validation, reconciliation, and software defect management.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple technical workstreams, stakeholders, and complex dependencies.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level data transformation or modernization initiatives.
Key Success Factors
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to maintain visibility across all project activities, communicate clearly with technical and executive stakeholders, and ensure that action items, risks, issues, and deliverables are consistently tracked through resolution.
