Job Summary
The Project Engineer is a key team member working alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure the safety, quality, and schedule adherence of our construction projects. This role involves managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various types of construction projects, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Essential Functions
Understand, support, and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
Observe and correct violations as they arise on project sites.
Purchase materials and equipment with safety and quality in mind.
Assist Project Manager with daily project duties.
Expedite material procurement, approval, and delivery to promote accurate and efficient project construction.
Prepare and track all necessary submittals and obtain required material certifications.
Assist Project Manager with material billing preparations and order necessary materials and supplies.
Maintain project files, current drawings, and schedule records.
Assist in the preparation and submission of documentation for change orders and analyze the cost of extra work.
Assist Project Manager in coordinating the project, including Trade Partners.
Approve receiving invoices and build positive Trade Partner relationships.
Identify, pursue, and recover fair compensation for all changes in scope.

Requires walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting, with assistance available for heavy loads.
Frequent climbing of ladders, stairs, and scaffolding for quality and completeness inspections.
Travel Required
Travel to and from multiple job sites, projects, and offices is required. Occasional overnight or weekend travel may be necessary.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering is required. A minimum of three years of related experience is preferred.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
