In this varied role, you will support project planning, coordination, reporting and governance activities, while maintaining accurate project information within Jira. You will work closely with project teams to ensure tasks, risks, dependencies and project data are effectively managed, helping teams deliver projects efficiently and on schedule.

Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Create, update and administer Jira issues, tasks, epics, dashboards and reports.
  • Assist with project communications and provide regular updates in line with project communication plans.
  • Use project scheduling tools to accurately record and maintain project information.
  • Produce reports and dashboards to support project tracking and status reporting.
  • Monitor project data quality, identifying and resolving incomplete or inconsistent information.
  • Support users with Jira-related queries and escalate more complex issues where appropriate.
  • Track project costs, risks and actions, maintaining associated project documentation and registers.
  • Assist in identifying project dependencies and ensuring project information remains accurate and current.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Support compliance activities by highlighting potential project or product-related issues.
  • Provide administrative support to project teams and related support functions where required.

Key requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. You will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience using project scheduling or project management tools.
  • Experience using Jira for project, software or work management activities, although this is not essential.
  • An understanding of project coordination activities, including task management, risk identification and progress tracking.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Good communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at different levels.
  • The ability to gather information, clarify requirements and support informed decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality project data.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Competent IT skills, including experience producing reports and working with data.
