COMPANY:
Our client is a Fortune 500 multinational technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Partnerships & Content organization at the company works with leading content creators and media entities around the world to build and grow innovative, meaningful content and community engagement experiences across a variety of product areas. This role will support a range of cross-functional efforts focused on using data and insights to inform partner strategy and business decisions. The successful candidate will help connect teams across related projects, keeping stakeholders aligned, surfacing dependencies, and advancing shared priorities. This person must also bring a strong analytics foundation: they will develop deep fluency in relevant datasets and metrics, apply analytical judgment to cross-functional discussions, and provide informed input across a range of projects.
The hiring manager leads the analytics and operations team within Global Partnerships & Content, the org that manages relationships with the creator and media industry ecosystem β public figures, music artists and labels, sports teams and leagues. His team is the internal-facing analytics function supporting that org's day-to-day work. A senior team member is on leave through April, and the team initially posted an entry-level data analyst CW to help with data pulls; that CW withdrew. In re-scoping, the hiring manager and leadership decided the greater need is a senior, strategic partner rather than an additional query-writer. The anchor project is "partner business intelligence": leveraging internal data, external data, and AI-powered tools to build the most comprehensive view of the creator ecosystem, and the tooling and infrastructure around it so the organization can answer its own questions (for example, identifying creators with strong US millennial audiences ahead of a launch) without going through an analyst each time. The contractor will program manage that build with the data infra team, data analysts, and partner engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish a consistent operating cadence that brings business intelligence workstream leads together to share progress, align priorities, resolve dependencies, and identify decisions needed.
- Prepare concise cross-project updates and leadership communications that summarize progress, risks, upcoming milestones, and areas requiring attention.
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in partner ecosystem metrics, data products, and business needs to connect stakeholders and provide informed input across projects.
- Conduct targeted analysis as needed to validate assumptions, answer business questions, and inform portfolio priorities and recommendations.
- Working with the data infrastructure team and cross-functional partners to move the business intelligence project forward.
- Program managing a multi-faceted plan and keeping workstreams on track.
- Coordinating across functions and resolving dependencies.
- Communicating milestones, progress, and vision to stakeholders.
- Advising on what data is needed and how the tooling should be built.
- Handling ad hoc requests as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, program management, business operations, or a related role supporting data-intensive initiatives.
- Strong hands-on analytics experience, including using SQL, defining and interpreting metrics, working with dashboards and reporting solutions, and translating data into business insights and recommendations.
- Experience coordinating multiple concurrent workstreams, including maintaining roadmaps, tracking milestones and dependencies, managing follow-ups, and communicating risks.
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships across technical and non-technical teams, including strategy, analytics, engineering, product, and business development partners.
- Presentation and communication experience, with the ability to synthesize complex data and program information into clear findings, decisions, and action items for varied audiences.
- Experience working autonomously, bringing structure to ambiguity, and exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including identifying connections and tradeoffs across related initiatives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing or maintaining dashboards, recurring reporting, or self-service analytics solutions.
- Experience building or working closely with teams that build data pipelines.
- Experience in the media, music, or creator industry and an understanding of associated ecosystem dynamics and metrics.
- Experience working within a large, global, or highly matrixed organization.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ Years of overall experience
