Youth RISE Foundation is seeking aProgram Manager to help coordinate, develop, and strengthen programs serving young people ages 15โ25.
This opportunity is designed for someone withsome experience in program coordination, nonprofit work, education, youth development, project management, community engagement, or a related field who wants to strengthen their skills while growing alongside a developing organization.
The position is currentlyunpaid and does not guarantee compensation or future employment.
The expected commitment is approximately10โ15 hours per week, with flexibility around the individual's schedule.
About the Position
The Program Manager helps turn Youth RISE Foundation's programs from ideas into organized, effective, and engaging experiences for participants.
This position is responsible for supportingprogram planning, implementation, participant engagement, scheduling, communications, documentation, and evaluation.
The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director of Programs and other departments to ensure programs are organized, accessible, and aligned with the Foundation's mission.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop practical experience inprogram management, nonprofit leadership, project coordination, and youth-serving initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
Program Planning
- Assist with planning and developing Youth RISE programs.
- Help establish program goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop program calendars and implementation plans.
- Coordinate program logistics.
- Identify potential challenges and recommend solutions.
Program Implementation
- Coordinate day-to-day program activities.
- Track program milestones and deadlines.
- Ensure assigned program tasks are completed.
- Coordinate with volunteers, interns, facilitators, and other participants.
- Help ensure programs operate consistently and effectively.
Participant Engagement
- Support participant onboarding and engagement.
- Help communicate program expectations and schedules.
- Respond to routine participant questions.
- Identify engagement barriers and communicate concerns to program leadership.
- Help create a positive and welcoming participant experience.
Program Administration
- Maintain program documentation.
- Track participation and engagement.
- Assist with program records and reporting.
- Organize program materials.
- Maintain calendars, schedules, and project trackers.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work with Social Services when participants need additional support.
- Coordinate with Public Affairs and Communications on program announcements and materials.
- Work with Development on potential program partnerships and funding opportunities.
- Coordinate with Operations on logistics and organizational resources.
- Collaborate with Learning and Education teams when programs involve educational programming.
Program Evaluation
- Assist with collecting participant feedback.
- Monitor program outcomes and milestones.
- Identify areas for improvement.
- Help prepare program reports.
- Recommend improvements based on participant and organizational feedback.

Time Commitment

This position is intentionally structured around amanageable and flexible schedule.
The role does not require a traditional 9-to-5 schedule.
Responsibilities and meetings can be coordinated around reasonable availability and organizational priorities.

This position is currently unpaid and does not guarantee salary, wages, benefits, or future employment.
If Youth RISE Foundation develops the financial capacity to provide compensation for this or similar work in the future, any compensation would be subject to organizational approval, applicable law, and an appropriate written agreement.
Approved expense reimbursement or other permitted support may be available in accordance with Foundation policies.
