About Birth Control Pharmacist
Birth Control Pharmacist is a healthcare education, advocacy, and research organization dedicated to public health and expanding access to contraception. We work with healthcare professionals, organizations, and policymakers to improve reproductive health access nationwide through education, training, and program support.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-orientedProgram Assistant or Intern to support our program operations, primarily the distribution of resources/toolkits to healthcare providers to support their reproductive health care services.
This is a very part-time, flexible role, ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized and providing hands-on support, while supporting meaningful healthcare initiatives. The position would typically involve coming into the office approximately once a week. Hours are flexible, making this a great fit for students, early-career professionals, or those seeking part-time work with purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble program materials, toolkits, and resources and prepare them for shipping
- Maintain and organize inventory of program materials and toolkits
- Keep documents, spreadsheets, and basic program tracking up to date
- Provide occasional administrative and logistical support for program projects and initiatives
- Help with other program-related tasks as needed
Other Potential Responsibilities
Depending on interest and experience, there may also be opportunities to:
- Assist with coordinating program activities and projects
- Communicate with healthcare providers about programs, resources, and materials
- Support basic outreach and follow-up with program partners
- Take on additional administrative or program support tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Must legally reside in the US and all work must be completed in the US (due to federal funding requirements).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using common productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in healthcare, public health, pharmacy, or reproductive health
- Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
- Passion for reproductive rights
Location & Schedule
- Based inSan Diego (Del Mar), CA
- Part-time (~15-25 hours/month) withflexible hours and schedule.For example, 4 hours once a week, 8 hours every other week, etc.
