As a DSP-RBT you will support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities toensure their overall care and well-beingin accordance with YAI program guidelines. DSP-RBTs willwork directly with people in our Behavioral Health Home located in West Milford NJ in varying capacities.Â

Job Responsibilities:Â Â
Provide support in a variety of settings and in accordance witheach person’sindividualized service and behavior support plans. Â
Ensure health, wellness, and safety by providingappropriatesupervision of the people we support. Â
Help manage crisis situations while adhering to policies, procedures and regulations. Â
Assist individuals in maximizing their strengths, interests, and abilities by upholding their personal rights, providing emotional support and building positive relationships. Â
Perform other duties as needed.Â

 Minimum Requirements:  Â
HS diploma or its educational equivalentÂ
A valid driver’s license may be required, based on position/locationÂ
Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within one year of appointment –YAI will cover costs of all required training for the RBT certification. Â
Â
Additional Minimum Requirements by State:Â
State of New Jersey (Behavioral Health Stabilization Homes):Â
At least six months’ work or life experience with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challengesÂ
Must hold a valid driver’s license with no more than 5 pointsÂ
New Jersey State drug test screening is mandatoryÂ
