Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoysworking on the production floor while leading a team? This is an excellent opportunity to step into aWorking Production Supervisor role with responsibility for approximately8β12 production employees.
You'll provide hands-on leadership across areas such aswelding, material handling, grinding, machine shop, and paint, while helping ensure production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedules are consistently met.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Lead and supervise a team of8β12 production employees while actively participating in manufacturing activities.

Provide hands-on support withwelding, material handling, grinding, machining, painting, and other production operations based on your experience.

Operate equipment such asforklifts, plasma tables, and welding equipment, as applicable.

Coordinate machine setups and production activities to meetquality, productivity, schedule, and cost goals.

Organize and assign work based on employee skills, equipment, tooling, and production requirements.

Monitor daily workflow and resolve production issues within the team.

Work closely with the Production Manager regardingstaffing, scheduling, training, and production needs.

Review production paperwork for accuracy and completeness.

Identify and supportcontinuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

Recommend maintenance, safety, and process improvements to management.

Promote a strong safety culture and immediately address safety concerns.

Coach, guide, and develop employees to improve performance and productivity.

Participate in safety committees, job evaluations, and performance reviews.

Ensure production areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next day.

Serve asEmergency Response Team Leader when needed.

Complete required safety inspections and ensure employees follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Secure the facility at the end of the night when assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
-
5+ years of manufacturing/production experience.
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
-
Hands-on experience inat least two of the following:
-
Welding
-
Painting
-
Grinding
-
Drilling
-
Machining
-
Hydraulic assembly
-
Forklift operation
-
Overhead crane operation
-
Related metal fabrication/manufacturing
-
-
Previous experienceleading or supervising production employees.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Ability to work effectively with management, coworkers, vendors, and distributors.
-
Comfortable working with various technologies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
-
Knowledge ofblueprint symbols, welding symbols, and welding terminology.
-
Experience reading and interpretingengineered drawings.
-
Lean Manufacturing experience.
-
3+ years of ERP system experience.
-
Proficiency withMicrosoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Certified forklift operator.
-
College degree or additional manufacturing/technical education.
