Production Planner (58053)

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

PGI is a privately held company, established in 1996.  We are a leading supplier of private label solutions in the automotive industry.  Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets.  Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into South America.

1. Coordinating department efforts to ensure scheduled ship dates are met and desired inventory levels are maintained.
2. Generating shop orders and all other necessary materials for all assigned work centers.
3. Communicating priorities to each Supervisor, Tactical Purchasing Agent, and the Plant Manager on a daily basis.
4. Reporting any inventory discrepancies to the inventory specialists for root cause analysis of the problem so they can initiate corrective actions as necessary.
5. Support all company policies, procedures, and programs related to personnel, quality, safety, and environmental issues.
6. Review and investigate the daily Projected Fill Rate report to establish the root cause and implement corrective actions as necessary.
7. Communicate availability dates of products to Customer Service.
8. May Create purchase orders daily to ensure the production schedules will be met and to maintain stocking levels.
9. May be responsible for managing the use up inventory during changes being implemented by Product Teams.
10. May manage and update production batch quantities and all appropriate coding associated with buffer management.

Qualifications

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred        

Experience:  1 to 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
