Position Summary
The Production Laborer is responsible for supporting daily production operations by performing a variety of tasks involved in the processing, packaging, handling, and preparation of meat products. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, refrigerated production environment while following all food safety, quality, safety, and company procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with daily production and processing activities as assigned.
- Load, unload, move, and organize meat products, boxes, and materials.
- Assist production employees with trimming, cutting, weighing, sorting, packaging, labeling, and preparing products.
- Operate basic production equipment and machinery after receiving appropriate training.
- Inspect products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and proper presentation.
- Follow product specifications, production schedules, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all USDA, HACCP, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all company safety policies and report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or product concerns to management.
- Work cooperatively with other production team members to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment
This position works in a refrigerated meat processing and production environment. Employees may be exposed to cold temperatures, moisture, noise, machinery, food products, and cleaning/sanitation chemicals. Proper PPE and adherence to all safety and food safety procedures are required.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, meat processing, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move products and materials as required by the position.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be willing to follow all food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and products as required.
- Ability to work in refrigerated/cold production areas.
- Ability to wear required PPE and safety equipment.
