Production Helper 1 - Parts Id/Gen Help/Mat Clerk

This position will provide assistance with production-related processes.

• Will collect Plans (dispatch) from supervisor.
• Will accurately perform identification operations on all product lines, assemblies, and sub-assemblies by following blueprint and production planning specifications.
• Will assist other production team members with duties such as needed, such as holding material or parts in jigs and/or fixtures, supplying workers with tools, parts and materials per planning, and returning items to proper storage areas.
• Responsible for clearing outbound areas to facilitate the flow of production through the facility.
• Will maintain proper housekeeping standards in various areas.
• Will receive, verify, count, and log all issues from Stores.
• Will acquire tooling needed per planning and order from tool storage, deliver tooling, and parts to department specified on planning.
• Maintain tool cleanliness and orderly tool crib area.
• Must be accurate with the use of numbers.
• Record all traceability information of material used and log on shop travelers.
• Responsible for assisting the department in the development of techniques to increase productivity, quality, and throughput of products and to share job knowledge in the department.
• Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; previous manufacturing experience may be substituted for education requirement.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and production planning documents.

• Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform routine work and understand basic planning instructions.

  • Work around equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Walk on uneven ground.
  • Be exposed to excessive noise, dust, gases, fumes, and chemicals commonly associated with manufacturing processes (e.g., paint, solvents, coatings, and fiberglass).
  • Be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness, particularly on the manufacturing floor.

  • Use special visual or auditory protective equipment as required.
  • Use safety glasses and wear safety shoes as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
