Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Production Finance Coordinator to join the Production Finance team for the Features division. This entry-level position will support the production finance functions across our slate of feature films. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial operations that power some of the most talked-about films in entertainment.
The successful candidate will assist the Production Finance team with day-to-day financial operations across multiple film productions worldwide, including coordinating production accounting onboarding, facilitating information flow between internal teams and external production partners, and supporting financial reporting processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to build a career in production finance. They must thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal. The candidate should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating across teams, and learning quickly. A proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity about the production process, and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
This role requires a team player who can work effectively under the guidance of senior team members while also collaborating cross-functionally with teams including Production, Legal and Business Affairs, Finance, Accounting, and external production accounting partners.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the Production Finance team in day-to-day financial operations across multiple film productions in various phases of production worldwide.
• Coordinate the onboarding of production accounting teams during pre-production, ensuring accountants have required access, email addresses, digital folders, and software set-ups (e.g., DocuSign).
• Schedule and coordinate Production Finance kick-off meetings, cost report review meetings, and monthly business reviews — including confirming attendee availability, sending invitations, and ensuring necessary reports and materials are distributed in advance.
• Facilitate the flow of financial information and communication within the department and with internal and external business partners.
• Confirm month-end close deadlines with corporate Accounting and issue timely notifications to production accounting teams.
• Track month-end deliverables and confirm that required documentation and reports are received and complete.
• Maintain organization of production accounting and Production Finance digital files, including set-up and access management for production accounting and reporting folders.
• Ensure Production Finance databases are up to date with accurate information.
• Provide coding and banking instructions and coordinate the return of funding on behalf of productions.
• Perform ad hoc data collection, straightforward financial analysis, and data validation as needed.
• Participate in process improvement projects within the department and cross-functionally with other teams.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting or related field
- • 0–2 years of experience in production finance, production accounting, or a related field
Preferred qualifications
- • Familiarity with the production process and production accounting workflows- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial data
- • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn about financial operations in the entertainment industry
- • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- • Familiarity with production accounting software (e.g., EP Smart Accounting, Vista, PSL, MediaWeb, Greenslate) is a plus
- • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and external partners

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
