Production Controller 1

Major Aerospace Company is looking for a Production Controller 1 to support our Global Supply Chain department. As a member of the Goods Movement department, you will get to support the Client shop. This position will serve on site at El Segundo, California .
 
Responsibilities:
Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates. Position is in-office, unable to accommodate a telecommute/hybrid schedule.
 
Essential Functions:
Utilize WIP reports to expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
Coordinate with Manufacturing to assist in prioritizing WIP to ensure contractual schedule dates are met.
Utilize knowledge of production requirements to coordinate with other shop support teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, MRB, Industrial Engineering, Shipping, Distribution, etc.) to initiate actions to remove any constraints to Production.
Perform necessary SAP and MES system transactions to; release work orders to Manufacturing, receive parts into inventory, close out manufacturing work orders, and issue parts up to next higher assemblies.
Able to interface and obtain ECDs from Manufacturing based on the criticality of the parts.

Basic Qualifications (Level 1):
High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience
Ability to work in MS 365, Excel, Word, Power Point
Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Abilit to obtain and maintain equipment licensing including but not limited to electric carts, forklift, reachlift.

**This job is initially 25hrs/week with the chance to go to a full 40 hrs if work requires it**
