The Product Stewardship Specialist leads ZeeWeed membrane certifications and regulatory compliance for the Oroszlany, HU site. The role ensures adherence to drinking water, food contact, religious (Kosher/Halal), and US EPA Pesticide Device standards. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, legal, supply chain) and regional product stewardship groups to embed compliance into product development and change management.

The candidate will implement industry best practices and tools to manage risk, track regulatory trends, and drive factory-level decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Direct and oversee drinking water certification programs (NSF, DWI,ACS, KTW, KIWA, ICIM,  NNGYK  etc)for ZeeWeed membrane products manufactured in Oroszlany, including application submission, renewal management, and active status maintenance.

• Maintain regulatory compliance listings and approvals for food contact and drinking water components.

• Manage food contact compliance and religious certifications (Halal and Kosher) for ZeeWeed while supporting regional regulatory teams and coordinating oversight.

• Support US EPA Pesticide Device compliance, overseeing required documentation for label requirements and annual EPA Establishment reporting.

• Audit and manage Quality Master Data, Recipes, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to guarantee ongoing alignment between manufacturing formulations and certification standards.

• Perform regulatory reviews of quality specifications, product formulations, and raw material documentation to verify adherence to relevant regulations.

• Evaluate complex supplier data to determine necessary regulatory actions for certified product lines.

• Lead change management efforts affecting certified products (including material substitutions, supply disruptions, cost-outs, and new material rollouts) to assess regulatory impacts prior to execution.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams during new material launches to provide regulatory oversight prior to commercial release.

• Facilitate regulatory testing programs required for compliance verification and market clearance certifications.

• Manage external and internal audit processes, coordinate communication with key stakeholders, and drive corrective and preventative actions for any non-conformances.

• Build collaborative partnerships across R&D, plant manufacturing, supply chain, and legal teams to promote proactive compliance, communicate standard updates, and execute action plans.

•  Monitor updates to certification standards and regulatory requirements for drinking water, food contact, and pesticide devices to ensure business operations stay compliant.

•  Produce compliance training materials and user documentation to support internal stakeholders.

•  Leverage regulatory software applications and support digitization initiatives

• Align project parameters to satisfy budgetary objectives and organizational targets.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven expertise in regulatory requirements concerning drinking water standard and food contact materials.

• Practical experience applying and working within ISO-based quality management frameworks.

• Proficiency in BOM/recipe administration and manufacturing change control processes.

• Background operating within or providing regulatory support to manufacturing facilities.

• Strong project management capabilities with a proactive drive to keep initiatives on schedule.

• Aptitude for prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting.

• Capability to independently analyze, translate, and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.

• Working knowledge of regulatory management platforms 

• Familiarity with water treatment technologies or membrane products is advantageous.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline from an accredited college or university

• Knowledge of third-party certification standards (NSF, DWI UK, ACS, KTW, KIWA, Kosher, Halal)

•  Minimum of 5 years industrial experience with product stewardship, regulatory compliance, or quality assurance in manufacturing environments

• Fluency in English (required); Hungarian language skills a plus
