Product Owner

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Product Owner - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for defining and executing the product vision and roadmap for Municipal Bonds Primary Markets platforms. The Product Owner will partner with syndicate desks, bankers, sales, operations, and technology teams to identify business needs, prioritize high-impact solutions, and drive front-to-back workflow integration. The ideal candidate will oversee product capabilities supporting new issue workflows, order book management, syndication, pricing, allocations, investor distribution, and settlement.

Responsibilities:

• Own and prioritize the program and product backlog, defining user stories and acceptance criteria
• Lead delivery across one to three cross-functional Agile teams
• Balance new features, regulatory requirements, platform modernization, and application stability
• Ensure high-quality delivery and acceptance of scalable and resilient solutions
• Drive automation and straight-through processing
• Communicate product strategy and outcomes to senior stakeholders
• Support user training, demonstrations, change management, and platform adoption

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience supporting Municipal Bonds Primary Markets, including issuance, syndication, pricing, allocations, and settlement
• Deep understanding of the municipal bond issuance lifecycle, including competitive and negotiated transactions
• Strong knowledge of new issue workflows, order book management, investor distribution, syndication, pricing, allocation, and settlement processes
• Strong understanding of fixed-income products and market structure
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to municipal bond markets
• Proven experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with business priorities
• Experience owning and prioritizing program and product backlogs
• Strong Agile delivery experience, including backlog prioritization, story writing, acceptance criteria, and feature acceptance
• Experience leading delivery across cross-functional Agile teams
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills

Desired skills:

• Direct experience working with front-office syndicate or trading desks
• Experience with Municipal Bonds issuance platforms such as Deal Central or comparable Primary Markets platforms
• Experience leading large-scale platform initiatives and user-experience improvements
• Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, OpenShift)
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems
• Exposure to Angular or React is a plus

Pay range: $49.46 - $57.46 per hour
