Overview
We are seeking an experiencedProduct Owner to support the implementation and optimization ofConga CPQ within Salesforce (SFDC) and its integration withSAP S/4HANA, as part of an upgrade fromSAP ECC. This individual will play a key role in bridging business needs and IT development by gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with business goals.
The role will operate under the direction of the full-time CPQ Product Owner, who retains final decision-making authority.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership Support
- Collaborate with the full-time CPQ Product Owner to define and refine the CPQ roadmap and sprint deliverables.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements from cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Operations, IT).
- Write detaileduser stories,acceptance criteria, anduse cases to guide IT and development teams.
- Ensure that requirements are aligned with enterprise architecture standards, business goals, and SAP integration strategy.
- Partner withSalesforce,Conga CPQ, andSAP S/4HANA teams to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
- Support the transition fromSAP ECC toS/4HANA, focusing on quote-to-cash processes and pricing configurations.
- Participate in design and testing sessions to validate integration points (e.g., pricing, product master, order processing).
- Act as a liaison between business teams and IT/development teams to clarify requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Gather feedback from users and translate it into actionable improvements for the CPQ platform.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training documentation, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of business processes, configuration decisions, and functional specifications.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT governance, change management, and data integrity standards.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness reviews.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience as aProduct Owner,Business Analyst, or similar role supporting Salesforce-based solutions.
- Proven experience withConga CPQ (Apttus), including configuration, rules, pricing, and quoting.
- Strong understanding ofSalesforce Sales Cloud and data model.
- Familiarity withSAP S/4HANA integration (preferably in quote-to-cash or order management domains).
- Demonstrated ability to writeclear, testable user stories andacceptance criteria for technical teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business and IT teams.
- Experience working inAgile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Experience withSAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
- Salesforce and/or Conga certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Conga CPQ Specialist).
- Knowledge of middleware/integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
- Understanding of enterprise quoting, pricing, and contract lifecycle management processes.
