Location:Riverwoods, IL (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week; flexibility for 606 after ramp-up)

Position Summary

Discover is seeking a Product Analyst / Product Owner to support our Payments Functionality team within the Digital Product Management group. This team manages system functionality across the Discover website and mobile app, focusing specifically on payment-related capabilities such as credit card payments, bank scheduling, auto pay, due date changes, and payment-related collections offers.

This role will primarily focus on process, documentation, and issue management support, while collaborating closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Risk/Compliance partners to ensure compliant, high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support payment functionality across Discover’s digital platforms (web and mobile) and agent systems.
• Drive and maintain change management and legal approval documentation, ensuring compliance with financial services controls.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to manage issues, conduct root cause analyses, and execute corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit change control requests and associated documentation per Discover’s governance standards.
• Assist in risk and compliance event tracking, ensuring all required process and control documentation is complete.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams to refine requirements and support ongoing maintenance of systems.
• Contribute to process design and documentation using tools like Blueworks Live (training available if experienced in Visio or similar).
• Provide backup support for Product Owners as needed, facilitating backlog refinement and sprint activities.
• Partner with UX and design teams to ensure product changes align with strong customer experience principles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Business Analysis roles.
• Experience in financial services or credit card domain (strongly preferred).
• Hands-on exposure to change management and risk/compliance processes within a regulated environment.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to compliance detail.
• Experience managing work through Agile/Scrum environments.
• Comfortable creating and interpreting process flows in Blueworks Live, Visio, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of user interface and customer experience principles (not design-focused but experience collaborating with UX teams).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with Adobe Analytics Suite or similar analytics tools.
• Experience developing or tracking OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
• Basic ability to query data using SQL.
• Previous work with payments systems, bank integrations, or collections functionality.
