Overview
Who we are
Collaborative. Respectful. A place to dream and do. These are just a few words that describe what life is like at Toyota. As one of the worldâs most admired brands, Toyota is growing and leading the future of mobility through innovative, high-quality solutions designed to enhance lives and delight those we serve. Weâre looking for talented team members who want to Dream. Do. Grow. with us.
An important part of the Toyota family is Toyota Financial Services (TFS), the finance and insurance brand for Toyota and Lexus in North America. While TFS is a separate business entity, it is an essential part of this world-changing company- delivering on Toyota's vision to move people beyond what's possible. At TFS, you will help create best-in-class customer experience in an innovative, collaborative environment.
Toyota does not offer support or sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this role now or in the future. You must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota support or sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, âjob flexibility benefitsâ [also known as I-140 or Adjustment of Status portability], etc.) now or in the future. You should not apply for this role if you will require Toyota to assist with immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.
Who Weâre Looking ForÂ
Toyota Financial Services is looking for a product manager who is obsessed with the customer, makes decisions with data, and moves with the urgency of a startup inside one of the worldâs most trusted brands.Â
This isnât a project management role. You wonât be taking requirements from the business and handing them to engineering. Youâll own the discovery and inventory experience end-to-end â the answer to the question âcan the customer find the right vehicle?â At the heart of that experience is a sophisticated AI-powered search agent, and defining how it understands intent, reasons over inventory, and guides shoppers to the right result is the core of this role. Youâll own both the quality of the inventory data feeding that agent and the intelligent discovery experience it delivers, end-to-end. Youâll talk to real shoppers, dig into the data to find where discovery breaks down, and make hard trade-off decisions with incomplete information.Â
Weâre looking for someone who is genuinely excited by this problem â a PM who has defined AI-driven or conversational search experiences before, understands how these systems behave, and wants to push the boundary of what an AI discovery agent can do.Â
If youâve thrived in a startup or early-stage product environment and yet can navigate, anticipate and address the needs of a large enterprise, this is the role.Â
What Youâll Be DoingÂ
- Own the vision and implementation of the AI-powered discovery experience â how the search agent interprets natural-language and conversational queries, reasons over inventory, ranks relevance, uses aggregations to power faceting and filtering, and guides shoppers to the right vehicle. Youâll partner with AI/ML engineering to evaluate and continuously improve the agent, from prompt and retrieval strategy to measuring answer quality, relevance, and trustÂ
- Own the definition and quality of the inventory data foundation â the ingestion, normalization, and enrichment pipelines that feed the discovery experience and every other experience that depends on trustworthy inventory dataÂ
- Talk to customers regularly â run usability tests, join discovery interviews, and use what you learn to shape the productÂ
- Define product strategy through PR/FAQs and PRDs that articulate the customer problem, the solution, and how weâll measure successÂ
- Make prioritization decisions based on data, customer feedback, and business impact â not opinions or stakeholder loudnessÂ
- Partner with engineering and design â you bring the âwhatâ and âwhy,â they bring the âhowâÂ
- Ship incrementally â define releases, set acceptance criteria, and get working software in front of users fastÂ
- Instrument everything â define success metrics for findability and conversion, build dashboards, and use data to decide what to build next
What You BringÂ
- 7+ years of produt management experience on consumer-facing digital productsÂ
- Experience with search, relevance, filtering, or data-heavy discovery products â you understand how data quality and ranking shape whether a customer finds what they needÂ
- Experience defining AI-powered product experiences â conversational agents, natural-language or semantic search, LLM-driven features, or recommendation systems â and a genuine passion for pushing what they can doÂ
- Hands-on with data â youâre comfortable digging into large datasets, writing queries, and working with aggregations to understand behavior and measure quality yourself, not waiting on a reportÂ
- Track record of shipping products that customers actually use â not just features that got deployedÂ
- Experience working directly with engineering teams in an agile environment in order to ensure that what is built matches your vision in the most effective wayÂ
- Strong written communication â you can write a clear product brief that engineering, design, and business stakeholders all understandÂ
- Startup mindset with enterprise polish â youâre comfortable with ambiguity, you move fast, but you can bring along critical stakeholders with patience and confident leadershipÂ
- Passion for modern product management practices and AI-powered tooling â you actively explore how AI can accelerate discovery, analysis, and deliveryÂ
Added Bonus If You HaveâŻâŻÂ
- Experience in automotive, fintech, lending, or marketplace productsÂ
- Experience integrating and normalizing third-party data feeds at scaleÂ
- Experience building products that involve regulatory or compliance considerationsÂ
- Youâve written a PR/FAQ or similar âworking backwardsâ product documentÂ

During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:Â
