Product Engineer - Closure System

Introduction

Join a dynamic team responsible for side door structures on current vehicles like F-150 and Expedition. This role involves finding root causes and solving issues affecting production, ensuring compliance with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Team Center, CAE, Sketchup (3D Modeling Software), and CATIA.
• Understanding of Six Sigma Methodology and its application in problem-solving.
• Experience with AVBOM and Bill of Materials management.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of Mechanics of Materials.
• 2+ years of experience related to Body Closures, specifically Side Door Assemblies.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with 3D Printing and its capabilities.
• Experience in Project Management and Change Management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop Engineering Statement of Work and participate in the Sourcing Process.
• Release parts in FEDEBOM & WERS through the product life cycle.
• Identify validation, durability, and functional test requirements as per standards.
• Provide technical solutions to emerging issues via Ford Automated Issues Management System (AIMS) & JIRA resolution.
• Support VQR's, VRT's, and PVT teams to solve quality and plant issues as required.
