We sell a variety of product categories as a 1st Party Seller, including toys, games, pet, sports & outdoor, home and patio, lawn & garden. Your Mission in This Role 🎯

We’re recruiting aProduct Compliance Coordinator to help ensure the products Flat River Group brings to market meet applicable regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will work closely with the Product Compliance, Vendor Management, Sales, Logistics, and other internal teams to gather compliance documents and e-file relevant data with the US government.

The ideal candidate should have some experience with data entry, record keeping, accounting, administrating, project management, or similar roles where attention to detail and accuracy is imperative. This position is a great entry into a career in product compliance. The candidate can expand this role as they gain compliance experience. Qualifications

What You’ll Get to Do 🛠️

  • Ensure Flat River Group’s imported products are compliant by following the requirements in regulations like CPSA and EPA TSCA.
  • Identify incoming products which are subject to regulation and classify appropriately, utilizing shared product trackers.
  • Request and obtain compliance documentation (test reports and certifications) from vendors and review to ensure the products are compliant for the U.S. market. If a document is rejected, the errors must be identified and resolved.
  • E-File compliance certification data within the CPSC’s product registry.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Team and our Broker to ensure the E-Filing process is completed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Product Compliance Team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and create or update process documentation.
  • Grow with the company – be able to research and learn the compliance requirements for new business segments and new jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Support the Product Compliance team’s efforts to educate vendor partners on retail customer expectations and creating best-in-class reference documents.
  • Work with the Compliance Manager to invent and streamline processes and requirements to enable Flat River Group’s Retail Supply Chain to expand product selection and availability.
  • Develop best-in-class processes, systems, and standard operating procedures as well as drive continual improvement.

Experience That Sets You Up for Success🚀

  • Preferred: Experience with Consumer Product Compliance (specifically working with CPSC regulations).
  • Preferred: Associate’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: data entry, record keeping, project management, accounting, administrating, orsimilar roles where attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
  • Comfortable in multiple systems and software platforms
  • Proven ability to learn new skills
