Job Title:Graphics Producer
Location:5808 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028 (hybrid)
Compensation:$50.00-$60.00/hr
Details:Contract through 1/31/2027 (W-2 and benefits eligible)
 
Role Overview
This role manages the graphics production pipeline from creative approval through fabrication handoff by January 31, 2027. The Graphics Producer coordinates print vendors, manages file preparation and quality control, and ensures all graphics meet museum-quality standards and delivery deadlines. This role must be based in Los Angeles, CA.
 
Responsibilities
  • Graphics production management: shepherd designs from creative approval through file delivery to scenic shop or graphics production firm
  • Design-to-production workflow: file preparation, color management, substrate selection, print specifications, quality control on samples
  • Asset tracking and scheduling: coordinate with graphic design firm, scenic shop and graphics production firm on graphics installation timing, ensure all graphics are production-ready by hand off
 
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 4 years in graphics production, art production, or design production
  • Hands-on experience managing large-format print vendors: screen print shops, digital print facilities, specialty fabricators
  • Technical expertise in file preparation: Adobe Creative Suite, color management, production specifications, print-ready files
  • Museum, exhibition, or venue graphics experience (branding, wayfinding, environmental graphics)
  • Proven ability to fast-track print production: manage tight sample turnarounds, quality control, vendor problem-solving
  • Understanding of substrate options, durability requirements, and installation logistics for graphics
  • Strong vendor communication: can write clear technical specs and briefs, pressure-test timelines, manage change orders
  • Quality assurance mindset: able to catch errors on proofs before full production, manage revisions
