Job summary:

Responsible for performing a variety of produce preparation duties such as prepping and packaging while offering extraordinary customer service.

Summary of essential job functions:

• Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
• Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
• Wash, peel and/or cut various foods to prepare for packaging.
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for recipes.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Prepare items such as guacamole, pico de gallo, salads and other items following recipes.
• Package produce items for sale following company guidelines.
• Rotate, stock and cull through all sales floor produce items on a minimum of a daily basis.
• Store and label food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
• Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures.
• Inform supervisors when supplies are getting low or equipment is not working properly.
• Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
• Timely and consistent attendance.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and use organizational skills
• 1-2 Year previous produce experience preferred.
