Position Overview

The Process Engineer will provide engineering support for process design activities, including development of process documentation, equipment sizing, performance analyses, and overpressure protection analyses.

Responsibilities

• DevelopProcess Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
• DevelopPiping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform sizing calculations.
• Perform performance analyses.
• Perform overpressure protection analyses.
• Provide input forFailure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Supportgas cooling and inert gas systems.
• UtilizeAutoCAD for engineering design activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of process design experience.
• Experience withAutoCAD.
• Experience developing and working withP&IDs in accordance with ISA 5.1.
• Experience withequipment sizing.
• Experience performingrelief/overpressure analysis.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withgas cooling systems.
• Experience withblowers and heat exchangers.
• Experience withinert gas systems.
• Experience withliquid-metal or molten-salt processes.
• Nuclear or DOE experience.
