Job Description

Join a dynamic Subcontracts team supporting the CEMA business area and Compass Call program, where you will play a key role in executing complex, mission-critical subcontracting activities. As a Principal Subcontract Administrator, you will partner closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Quality, and other cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute subcontract strategies that support program objectives, schedule, cost, and performance.

In this role, you will independently manage complex subcontracts throughout the full procurement lifecycle, including requirements development, solicitation and proposal evaluation, source selection, negotiation, award, administration, change management, and closeout. You will prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs), analyze supplier proposals, develop negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, document price and cost analysis as applicable, and execute subcontract awards and modifications within established authority.

You will be responsible for monitoring subcontractor performance against contractual requirements, identifying and mitigating cost, schedule, technical, and supply-chain risks, and proactively resolving issues that may impact program execution. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure subcontract requirements, terms and conditions, applicable FAR/DFARS clauses, and other contractual obligations are appropriately addressed.

The Principal Subcontract Administrator will also support proposal activities, subcontract planning, supplier assessments, make/buy and sourcing strategies, and program reviews. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to exercise sound business judgment, operate with a high degree of independence, provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced subcontract professionals, and contribute to continuous improvement and procurement compliance initiatives.
