Trident Consulting is seeking a "Principal Software Applications Engineer" for one of our clients in "Burlington, MA(Onsite)" A global leader in business and technology services.

Role:Principal Software Applications Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA(Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: 197,000K Base

Key Technical Requirements Must-Have Skills:

Principal C++ Software Engineer with computer vision and computer graphics experience who can translate research algorithms from Python/MATLAB into commercial medical device software running on Linux-based systems
Strong C++ development experience (primary requirement).
Experience developing software in Linux environments, with some exposure to Windows-based C++ development.
Regulated industry experience (med device #1, defense, automotive)
Someone who has developed software that communicates with systems or devices.
Ability to implement and optimize algorithms for commercial products.
Familiarity with computer graphics, geometric transformations, and image processing.
Experience using or working alongside OpenCV.
Python and/or MATLAB understanding.
C# experience, although this is not a primary screening criteria.
Research-to-Product Development One of the most unique aspects of this role is the interaction with the Advanced Research team.
Researchers will often develop algorithms in Python or MATLAB.
This engineer will be responsible for translating it into efficient, production-quality C++ code.
