As a Principal Product Manager for the Invoicing Platform at Multiplier, you will lead the platform responsible for generating, delivering, and managing every customer invoice across all product lines. This pivotal role involves defining invoicing as a set of services, data models, and APIs that other teams and products will build on, setting the direction for the platform's scaling with the business.

You will collaborate closely with engineering leadership, architecture, finance, accounting, and product teams that interface with invoicing. The role demands deep engagement in system design with engineers, transforming finance and customer requirements into platform capabilities, and making strategic product decisions with full awareness of their technical impacts.

Skills & Qualification

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with substantial time focused on platform, infrastructure, or API-first products
• Proven experience in building or scaling invoicing, billing, or other financial systems where accuracy and auditability are essential
• Strong technical expertise, including proficiency in discussing service architecture, data models, APIs, and event-driven systems with engineering teams
• Understanding of invoicing's integration with adjacent systems such as order management, accounting, payments, and customer integrations
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency invoicing and accommodating country-specific invoicing requirements
• Track record of establishing and delivering multi-year platform strategies through collaboration with other teams
• Ability to influence engineering, finance, and product leadership effectively without direct authority
• Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce architecture-level product documents and decision records

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Invoicing Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Define core platform capabilities, data models, and APIs to facilitate reliable development by other products and teams
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and extensibility
• Determine how the platform integrates data from upstream systems and disseminates invoice data to accounting, payments, and customer interfaces
• Ensure invoices are accurate, traceable, and auditable from the source data through to the final document
• Develop the platform to accommodate new products, entities, currencies, and country-specific requirements without necessitating substantial rework
• Establish platform-level metrics for accuracy, timeliness, and reliability to guide platform priorities
• Work with finance and accounting teams to meet reporting, compliance, and closure requirements
• Mentor other Product Managers, enhancing the technical product thinking across the team
