Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

• We need a Principal FDE to own the technical outcome of our client’s engagement.
• This person co-leads delivery with client’s FDE lead as a peer — shared backlog, shared repos in our accounts — and is the engineer Casualty transformation leadership calls directly.
• They design the claims ontology, write production Foundry and AIP software, sit with examiners, and keep business logic from living only inside Foundry.
• Must-haves: 6+ years software engineering; 4+ years forward-deployed / embedded / customer-facing delivery; production Palantir Foundry (ontology, pipelines/transforms, Workshop, Code Repositories); Python plus TypeScript or Java; Spark/SQL; can walk into a room of operations leaders and leave with a scoped build. Insurance/claims/healthcare is a plus, not a gate.
• We need a Senior FDE who will pair daily with Client’s FDEs to build the claims control tower on Foundry and AIP — pipelines, ontology objects and actions, Workshop apps, and AIP logic/agents. They sit with examiners, ship in client-owned repos, and harden prototypes into production (security markings, Client, eval, human confirmation on consequential claims actions).
• Must-haves: 3–6 or more years software engineering; 3+ years production data apps, operational UIs, or AI-assisted workflows; strong Python, SQL; hands-on Foundry strongly preferred (pipelines, ontology, Workshop, and/or Code Repositories). Equivalent ontology/data-app platform experience considered. AIP or production LLM/agent work with a human review loop is a plus.
