Diaceutics PLC is a diagnostic-driven therapy commercialization company. For 20 years we have built the intelligence and engagement solutions that help biopharma see where eligible patients are emerging, engage the HCPs and labs shaping treatment decisions, and move faster from diagnostic activity to therapy adoption. The therapies we support touch 1 in 10 American lives - 30 to 40 million patients a year - across 700+ diagnostic-driven therapies, backed by a network of 600+ US labs and clients including AbbVie, AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis, Pfizer and Roche.
Our portfolio brings together Intelligence Solutions (Signal, Insight Services, and Practice Gaps launching soon) and Engagement Solutions (Physician Engage, Expert Exchange, Lab Engage, Scientific Engagement, Precision Medicine Educators), connected through Relay - a partnership model built for precision medicine - and powered by the DXRX platform and Reveal engine. We are headquartered in Jersey City, NJ (US) and Belfast, UK, and we are moving into our next chapter under a Precision for All ambition: a future where every eligible patient is identified, diagnosed and receives the right therapy at the right time.
Role Summary
The Precision Medicine Liaison (PML) plays an important role in helping laboratories strengthen access to precision medicine testing and, ultimately, supporting patients in accessing the right treatment. Working with clinical chemistry laboratories and reference centres across the USA, you will bring scientific expertise and practical insight into the lab environment, helping to identify and address barriers affecting test adoption, availability and laboratory workflows.
You will combine field intelligence with Diaceutics data and expertise to provide clear, actionable recommendations that support testing pathways and strengthen awareness of companion diagnostics. Through scientific exchange and ongoing engagement, you will build trusted relationships with pathologists, laboratory managers and other key stakeholders, supporting laboratories as they develop the testing capabilities and infrastructure needed to improve patient and HCP access to testing.
This is a fixed-term role supporting the launch of a therapy on behalf of a pharmaceutical partner. You will work with clinical chemistry laboratories and reference centres across the USA to help ensure sufficient testing infrastructure is in place to support the launch.
The role is primarily virtual, with face-to-face laboratory visits as required, attendance at relevant conferences and occasional visits to Diaceutics’ New Jersey office.
What you'll be doing
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Program delivery and scientific engagement:
Understand detailed scientific materials and translate key requirements and recommendations into clear, relevant information for laboratory stakeholders.
Communicate regularly and effectively with Diaceutics Leadership, client matrix teams and relevant support teams.
Stakeholder identification and relationship management
Proactively identify and engage relevant healthcare professionals, building effective working relationships and finding practical ways to overcome barriers to engagement.
Engage with diagnostic testing laboratories, providing pre-approved scientific awareness materials to pathologists and other key laboratory staff to support the implementation of new and developing diagnostic testing and patient-specific therapy options.
Insight gathering and testing landscape
Conduct structured discussions with laboratory stakeholders and pathologists using pre-defined criteria and strategic recommendations, capturing insights on the testing landscape, laboratory capabilities, barriers to testing, workflows and operational processes.
Reporting and CRM management
Prepare regular performance reports and progress metrics, while maintaining Diaceutics and client CRM systems to accurately track programme activity and progress.
Compliance and Governance
Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, Diaceutics policies and Code of Conduct, privacy and data guidelines, and relevant state, federal and PDMA requirements.
Travel and additional responsibilities
Travel to laboratory sites across the US as required and represent Diaceutics and its Pharma partners at relevant regional and national meetings or conferences.
Undertake special projects, assignments, and other duties as directed by the People Leader.
What we are looking for
You are a scientifically curious, relationship-focused professional who is confident in engaging with laboratory stakeholders and translating complex scientific information into clear, meaningful conversations. You bring experience in life sciences, diagnostics, oncology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or another field that provides a strong understanding of diagnostic laboratory testing.
You are proactive and comfortable building new relationships, including through cold outreach, and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to challenges. You work well independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment and are motivated to continue developing your knowledge of precision medicine and patient testing.
Skills and competencies:
Scientific expertise: Relevant scientific or industry experience; a postgraduate degree is preferred but not essential.
Stakeholder engagement: Confident identifying, approaching and building ongoing relationships with laboratory stakeholders.
Communication: Excellent written, verbal and IT skills, with the ability to adapt scientific information for technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-solving: A positive, proactive approach with the ability to navigate complex challenges and identify practical solutions.
Collaboration: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a virtual team.
Industry knowledge: Experience in a regulated environment; pharmaceutical experience, knowledge of the US laboratory network, and existing relationships with pathologists or oncologists are advantageous.
Role requirements: Based in the US, able to successfully complete required client and Diaceutics training and travel occasionally as required.
