Diaceutics PLC is a diagnostic-driven therapy commercialization company. For 20 years we have built the intelligence and engagement solutions that help biopharma see where eligible patients are emerging, engage the HCPs and labs shaping treatment decisions, and move faster from diagnostic activity to therapy adoption. The therapies we support touch 1 in 10 American lives - 30 to 40 million patients a year - across 700+ diagnostic-driven therapies, backed by a network of 600+ US labs and clients including AbbVie, AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis, Pfizer and Roche.
Our portfolio brings together Intelligence Solutions (Signal, Insight Services, and Practice Gaps launching soon) and Engagement Solutions (Physician Engage, Expert Exchange, Lab Engage, Scientific Engagement, Precision Medicine Educators), connected through Relay - a partnership model built for precision medicine - and powered by the DXRX platform and Reveal engine. We are headquartered in Jersey City, NJ (US) and Belfast, UK, and we are moving into our next chapter under a Precision for All ambition: a future where every eligible patient is identified, diagnosed and receives the right therapy at the right time.
Role Summary
The Precision Medicine Liaison (PML) plays an important role in helping laboratories strengthen access to precision medicine testing and, ultimately, supporting patients in accessing the right treatment. Working with laboratory stakeholders across the DXRX network, you will bring scientific expertise and practical insight into the lab environment, helping to build awareness of evolving testing practices and identify barriers that can affect test adoption, turnaround and laboratory workflows.
You will combine field intelligence with Diaceutics data and expertise to develop clear, actionable recommendations that help laboratories address testing and workflow needs. Through scientific exchange and ongoing engagement, you will support awareness of companion diagnostics and help strengthen the availability of testing that can inform therapeutic eligibility for our Pharma partners.
This is a relationship-led role, working primarily with pathologists, laboratory managers, department leads and other key laboratory decision-makers. You will build trusted relationships, deliver pre-approved scientific awareness materials and engage stakeholders in meaningful discussions to better understand laboratory capabilities, workflows and barriers to testing.
Working across multiple clients and programmes, you will quickly adapt to different objectives, methodologies, KPIs and reporting requirements while maintaining high-quality, consistent engagement. Success in the role will come from building strong connections with laboratory stakeholders and turning regular outreach and scientific exchange into meaningful programme progress.
The role is permanent, remote, with face-to-face laboratory visits as required, attendance at relevant conferences and occasional visits to Diaceutics’ New Jersey office.
What you'll be doing
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Program delivery and scientific engagement
Work across multiple programs, quickly understand client and program-specific objectives and maintain differentiation between program methodologies and insight requirements.
Understand detailed scientific materials and translate key requirements and recommendations to target lab personnel.
Communicate regularly and promptly with Diaceutics Leadership, client matrix teams and relevant home office support teams.
Stakeholder identification and relationship management
Maintain a database of stakeholders and build meaningful relationships within target accounts, to support scientific exchange across the precision medicine community.
Proactive identify and engage stakeholders, using problem-solving skills to overcome barriers and establish effective working relationships with healthcare professionals.
Engage primarily with professionals associated with diagnostic testing laboratories, providing awareness materials to pathologists and other key laboratory staff to support the implementation of new and developing diagnostic testing and patient-specific therapy options in the US.
Insight gathering and testing landscape
Using predefined criteria and agreed strategic recommendations, conduct interview-style discussions with laboratory stakeholders and pathologists.
Accurately capture insights to build understanding of the testing landscape, laboratory capabilities, barriers to testing, lab-specific workflows and operational processes.
Reporting and CRM management
Prepare regular performance reports and progress metrics for management.
Maintain and manage Diaceutics and client CRM systems to effectively track program progress.
Compliance and Governance
Fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations and represent Diaceutics and its Pharma partners at regional and national meetings or conferences on behalf of assigned programmes.
Travel and additional responsibilities
Travel to laboratory sites within the US as required and represent Diaceutics and its Pharma partners at regional and national meetings or conferences on behalf of assigned programmes.
Undertake special projects, assignments and other duties as directed by the manager.
What we are looking for
You are a scientifically curious and relationship-focused professional who is comfortable engaging with laboratory stakeholders and translating complex information into clear, meaningful conversations. You understand, or are keen to develop a strong understanding of, diagnostic laboratory testing and the evolving precision medicine landscape.
You are confident in identifying and reaching out to new stakeholders, including through cold outreach, and can build credible, productive relationships over time. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach when navigating challenges or barriers to engagement.
Successful candidates work well independently while also enjoying being part of a collaborative, virtual team. Experience within oncology, biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics or pharmaceuticals would be valuable, as would existing knowledge of the US laboratory network and relationships with pathologists or oncologists, but these are not essential where you can demonstrate relevant scientific knowledge, transferable experience and a strong willingness to learn.
Skills and competencies:
Scientific expertise: Relevant scientific or industry experience; a postgraduate degree is preferred but not essential.
Stakeholder engagement: Confident identifying, approaching and building relationships with laboratory stakeholders.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt scientific content to different audiences.
Problem-solving: A proactive, practical approach to complex challenges.
Collaboration: Comfortable working independently and across multiple teams, clients and priorities.
Industry knowledge: Experience in a regulated environment; pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of the US laboratory network are advantageous.
Role requirements: Based in the US, able to complete required client and Diaceutics training and travel occasionally as required.
