JD:
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with Directors and Managing Directors on the trading floor to elicit detailed business requirements and understand complex trading workflows
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of pre-trade systems and data flows across Cash Equities, FX, FICC, and Commodities
- Document current state business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and data enhancement
- Lead stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions with senior trading personnel
- Conduct comprehensive gap analyses between current state data capabilities and business requirements
- Analyze pre-trade data structures and FIX message protocols to ensure accurate data capture and transformation
- Collaborate with technology teams to design and implement data pipelines feeding into the enterprise data lake
- Assess data quality, completeness, and timeliness of pre-trade information flows
- Create detailed functional specifications and process documentation to guide system design and development decisions
- Follow up persistently on outstanding deliverables and action items to ensure project completion
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with trading desks, technology teams, and data management groups
- Facilitate communication between business and technology teams throughout project lifecycles
Must Have Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in capital markets or financial services technology with demonstrated analytical experience
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior executives (Director/MD level) in fast-paced trading environments
- Deep understanding of Cash Equities markets with demonstrated knowledge across FX, Fixed Income, Credit, and Commodities trading
- Expert knowledge of financial products, trade lifecycle & market data with strong familiarity with pre-trade systems, order management workflows, and market data distribution.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard communication protocols like FIX (Financial Information Exchange), FpML (Financial Productions Markup Language), SWIFT, ISDA CDM etc.
- Tenacious follow-through and ability to drive results in matrix organization structures
- Experience conducting comprehensive gap analyses and creating detailed impact assessments
- Experience with business process modeling tools and methodologies
- Ability to create compelling data visualizations and analytical reports
Good to Have skills
- Understanding of financial regulations (e.d GDPR, MIFID II, Dodd-Frank)
- Proven experience working in data analytics environments, particularly with large-scale data lake implementations
- Strong data analysis skills including proficiency with SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred
