We’re looking for aPermanent Reliever Support Worker to join our Independent Living team in Invercargill | Waihōpai.
This is a permanent position working48 hours per fortnight, made up ofthree 8-hour shifts each week. Days are still to be confirmed, but shifts are expected to fall acrossSunday to Thursday.
A big part of this role is helping people get out and about, explore their interests, build relationships andgrow their natural supports and community connections. It’s about walking alongside people, encouraging independence and supporting them to be active and connected members of their community.
About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
As a Permanent Reliever, you’ll work across our Independent Living services, providing reliable support where it’s needed while getting to know a variety of people and teams.
You might support someone to take part in community activities, pursue a new interest, strengthen relationships with whānau and friends, develop everyday living skills or make new connections that can become part of their natural support network.
Experience is welcome, but it’s your ability to build genuine relationships, encourage independence and see possibilities that matters most.

A Full New Zealand Driver Licence (essential)
A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to complete one at our cost
The legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand
A valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining (if applicable)
